Felling & Processing Trees over 380mm (Unit 304)

Level 3 Felling and Processing Trees over 380mm and up to 760mm (previously City & Guilds CS32)
The time may come when you need to learn to fell larger trees than a basic tree felling qualification covers. That’s where the level 3 qualification ‘felling and processing trees over 380mm and up to 760mm’ comes in. This training will teach candidates the appropriate techniques and safety guidelines required to fell trees that have a diameter greater than the effective cutting length of the guidebar, but not twice the guidebar length.
Who is it for?
This course is suitable for those working in forestry and arboriculture who are required to fell medium trees, with a diameter over 380mm and less than 760mm. Candidates will have already achieved qualifications in level 2 chainsaw maintenance and cross cutting, and felling trees up to 380mm (previously City & Guilds CS30/CS31). It is expected that candidates will have on-the-job experience of using the saw and felling small trees before enrolling on this course.
